Modernist-Ecumenical-Synodal-Pan-Religious Blind, Misled, and Misleading... The Modernist procession of Apostasy... |
Preamble:
The news feed of my Facebook Page had a post that got me started this morning. It was from a Modernist, ecumenical, synodal, Pan-Reilgious Minister reputed a "Catholic Priest". The comments on his post reveal the extent of the damage that modernist poison (indifferentism) has done.
In defense of the Catholic cause, and for the edification of men of good will, this entry is an attempt to show how the text of the post in question is filled with Modernist themes that deviate from defined Church doctrine on truth, mission, and the nature of the Church.
The Text
As seen from the screenshot above, the text of the post reads thus:
Our Uniqueness is a Blessing, a Gift that should unite us and not divide us. Our fundamental vocation from God is to be Human in the world.
Meeting with delegates from other religions, Pope Leo XIV highlighted Pope Francis' special emphasis on universal fraternity. He did it by promoting inter-religious and ecumenical dialogues.
Jesus respected everyone, listened to everyone, ate and drank with everyone yet He never forced anyone to follow Him. Respect, Openness and Communication can be Beautiful ways of Evangelization.
A Catholic Analysis
Anyone with some vestige of Catholic common sense can easily see that the text above is filled with Modernist themes that deviate from defined Church doctrine on truth, mission, and the nature of the Church. Let us single out the statements in the light of the unchanged and unchanging Catholic saving doctrine.
1. “Our Uniqueness is a Blessing that should unite us...”
The Traditional Teaching is that Unity is based on truth, not on personal “uniqueness” or diversity.
Pope Leo XIII says in Satis Cognitum (1896):
“The unity of the faith is of such a kind that it must exclude all divergence of opinion; one who dissents in the least point from the truth divinely revealed, absolutely rejects all faith.”
Obviously, this statement about uniqueness as the basis for unity stems from the Modernist Error which emphasizes subjective uniqueness over objective revealed truth. This fosters religious indifferentism, solemnly condemned by the Magisterium.
2. “Our fundamental vocation is to be Human in the world.”
The Traditional Catholic teaching is that Man’s fundamental vocation is supernatural: to know, love, and serve God, and to reach eternal life. It is summed in the catechism thus:
"God made us to show forth His goodness and to share with us His everlasting happiness in heaven." (Baltimore Catechism No. 3, Q.6)
It is Modernist to reduce man's vocation to “being human”. This reduction is a hallmark of naturalism, condemned by Pope Pius X in Pascendi Dominici Gregis (1907).
“Naturalism… claims that human nature and human reason suffice for all things.”— Pope Leo XIII, Humanum Genus (1884), §12
Yes, to say “Our fundamental vocation is to be human in the world” is to mislead souls, promote Naturalism, and weaken the doctrine of salvation.

A picture that says more than a thousand words... |
3. "Pope Leo XIV" highlighted "Pope Francis'" special emphasis on universal fraternity.
Being the 7th in the line of Modernist Papal Impostors, "Pope Leo XIV" must, by a force of necessity, be enamored of the Modernist brotherhood of man without the fatherhood of God, (BOMFOG, as Father Cekada used to put it...)
Bergolio's promotion of “universal fraternity,” in his Fratelli Tutti, rests on a naturalistic and indifferentist foundation in line with modernist principles that contradicts the defined doctrines of the Catholic Church. From the Traditional Catholic standpoint, true fraternity among men can only exist in Christ and through the supernatural bond of the Catholic Faith.
Ecumenist and Pan-Reilgious Prevost, styled "Leo XIV", can't highlight the teaching of Pope Leo XIII in Humanum Genus (1884) that there can be no true union of minds without unity in truth, and that the only authentic brotherhood is that which flows from membership in the Mystical Body of Christ, the Church. He glories in his name, but has not his spirit...
Modernist fraternity blurs the distinction between the Church and the world, between grace and nature, promoting a horizontal humanism that denies the necessity of conversion to the one true Faith.
Pius XI condemned such ecumenical confusion in Mortalium Animos (1928), warning against efforts to unite religions as equals. The Faithful are bound to reject any fraternity that subordinates divine revelation to human consensus, or the Kingship of Christ to the ideals of democratic pluralism.
4. “Promoting inter-religious and ecumenical dialogues...”
Here, it must be noted that the Catholic Church cannot promote false religions or put them on equal footing. It is on that note that Modernist Ecumenism stands formally condemned.
Pope Pius XI wrote in Mortalium Animos (1928):
It is clear that the Apostolic See cannot on any terms take part in these assemblies... the union of Christians can only be promoted by promoting the return to the one true Church.”
Before him, Pope Gregory XVI had condemned that indiffrentism which alone can foster the so-called interreligious dialogue for which Bergolio is being praised. This dialogue springs from false liberty of conscience and an endorsement of pluralism:
“This shameful font of indifferentism gives rise to that absurd and erroneous proposition which claims that liberty of conscience must be maintained for everyone.” (Pope Gregory XVI in Mirari Vos (1832)
“all doctrines are equally true, and no religion is better than another. this is the error of indifferentism.”— pope gregory xvi, mirari vos (1832), §13–155
5. “Jesus respected everyone... never forced anyone...”
This slogan is one of the most common, used often to justify religious indifferentism and moral relativism. It distorts the full truth of Christ’s mission and the nature of divine authority. While Our Lord indeed showed compassion and patience, He also spoke with divine authority, rebuked error, demanded conversion, and declared exclusivity in salvation. He never treated error and truth as equal.
“Except you do penance, you shall all likewise perish.” (Luke 13:5)
Also: He explicitly taught the exclusive nature of salvation:
He that is not with me, is against me” (Matthew 12:30).
Noteworthy is that, while Christ loved sinners, He never respected sin or validated falsehood. Our Lord’s mercy was never tolerant of error; He was always calling to truth and penance. He publicly reproached the Pharisees as “hypocrites,” “blind guides,” and “whited sepulchres” (Matt. 23).
Pope Leo XIII, in Libertas Praestantissimum (1888), clarified that liberty is not the right to error but the freedom to choose the good — which must conform to divine law. The "Imitator Of Leo" cannot highlight this!
5. “Respect, Openness and Communication as Evangelization”
You see? In the Apostolic, Catholic scheme evangelization is not dialogue but proclamation of the one true Faith for the conversion of souls. Yes, evangelization is the authoritative proclamation of revealed truth with the goal of conversion. This modernist slogan undermines the supernatural necessity of the Catholic Faith for salvation and the duty to preach with clarity and firmness.
Christ’s Great Commission was not a call to respectful dialogue but a divine mandate:
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations… teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you” (Matt. 28:19–20).
Pope Leo XIII, in Immortale Dei (1885), teaches that Christ “commanded the Apostles to preach the faith to all nations” and that this mission carries divine authority, not mere mutual exchange.
Pope Pius IX condemned the idea that all religions deserve equal respect in Quanta Cura (1864):
“With the admonition of Our Apostolic office, We reject and condemn the evil opinions and doctrines which are especially spread in our time... that liberty of conscience and of worship is the right of every man.”
Respect for persons must never become respect for error.
Who, with an informed Catholic common sense Would not see that this advocated "respect" is born of the indifferentism condemned thus by Pope Gregory XVI?
“This shameful font of indifferentism gives rise to that absurd and erroneous proposition which claims that liberty of conscience must be maintained for everyone. It spreads ruin in sacred and civil affairs.” (Pope Gregory XVI, Mirari Vos (1832):
Yes, Modernist promotion of “openness” without calling to conversion which is born of and further leads to, religious indifferentism is condemned by the Catholic Church.
“Communication” and “openness” without the mandate of truth and conversion is a false charity incompatible with the True Faith.

Summing Up: Blind Leading The Blind
One this is clear: this Modernist agent promotes religious Indifferentism in line with the Modernist formation he received. His is a classical case of a blind and misled leading the blind. He could not be "more Catholic" than his "popes"!
In misleading the blind to reckon indifferentism as something Catholic and treasured, he is an agent of apostasy.
His apostolate produces:
- Loss of Faith: his unsuspecting audience are fed error day after day, week after week. They have lost any sense of objective truth or the uniqueness of the Catholic Faith. Didn't Pope St. Pius X tell us that Modernism leads headlong to atheism, a completing the path begun by Protestantism?
- Damnation of Souls: the greatest tragedy is eternal: souls fall into Hell who might have converted had they been taught the truth rather than dialogued with or made to believe "all religions are equal", "we are all serving the same God", etc.
Pope Pius IX sums it thus:
“Those who adhere to false religious systems are separated from the unity of the Church and are on the path of perdition.” (Qui Pluribus (1846):
On our part, aided by the grace of our Sacred Orders, uncompromising, we would continue to:
- teach the one true Faith; in season, out of season.
- Warn against false religions and false teachers.
- Invite to conversion through love founded in Truth, and with clarity.
And, men of good will are sure to be edified. To the greater glory of God!
