Turn to the Lord!

"And Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying: If you turn to the Lord with all your heart, put away the strange gods from among you, Baalim and Astaroth: and prepare your hearts unto the Lord, and serve him only, and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines." [1Kings 7:3]

~ Baalim and Astaroth represent the two everlasting dangers for man: idolatry and obscenity. Do not consider yourself immune from the danger of being affected by these two evils. 

Take care, therefore, that you from your heart all idolatry with respect to money and the world because our Lord clearly stated that it is impossible to serve two masters. To be a slave of money in itself means to commit the sin of idolatry.

And be on guard against the contagion of Astaroth, I. E of obscenity and impurity; with which our society is filled: even the air we breathe is saturated with it. It is a battle unto death... 

Remember: "God does not require impossibilities, but by his command, admonishes thee to do what thou canst, and to pray for what thou art not able to perform, and he assists thee, that thou mayst be able to perform it.” [Haydock Bible Commentary quoting: Council of Trent, St. Augustine]

With St. Margaret Mary Alacoque therefore, invoke the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus [often] saying "O Heart of love, I put all my trust in Thee; for I fear all things from my own weakness, but I hope for all things from Thy goodness"
